Role Description The Psychosocial Recovery Coach will provide one-on-one and group-based support to NDIS participants to help them build resilience, life skills, and self-management capabilities. Day-to-day tasks include developing and reviewing recovery-oriented support plans, coordinating with participants, families, and other providers, and facilitating access to appropriate community and clinical services.
The role involves guiding participants through goal setting, monitoring progress, and adjusting strategies to support psychosocial wellbeing and independence.
The Psychosocial Recovery
Coach will maintain accurate documentation, uphold NDIS and organizational standards, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment. This is a contract, on-site role based in Brendale, QLD.
Qualifications
- Strong peer support, lived experience-based support, and team-oriented engagement skills.
- Demonstrated experience in recovery coaching and psychosocial recovery planning.
- Knowledge of addiction recovery and related support frameworks.
- Coaching skills focused on strengths-based, person-centered approaches.
- Experience delivering training, psychoeducation, or skill-building sessions.
- Understanding of NDIS principles, psychosocial disability, and community mental health services.
- Relevant qualification in mental health, community services, social work, counseling, or a related field (or working toward one).
- Excellent communication, active listening, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse participants, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Current Working With Children Check, National Police Check, and valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain).
