We are looking for a capable Carpenter who can read drawings, work safely, take pride in finish quality and contribute positively to a site team. You will construct, install and repair structures and fixtures while working with the Site Supervisor.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape and assemble materials for frameworks, structures and fixtures.
- Install and repair items including windows, doors, cabinetry, stairs and associated structures.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and competently.
- Check completed work for quality and raise issues early.
- Work collaboratively with other construction personnel to meet project requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and report progress to the Site Supervisor.
About you
- Demonstrated hands-on carpentry experience in construction.
- Robust carpentry technique and sound knowledge of tools and materials.
- Confidence reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Reliable, safety-focused approach and ability to work effectively under site supervision.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Relevant carpentry qualification or certification.
- EWP, Forklift and/or Heavy Vehicle licences or tickets.
