About the role The Quality, Compliance & Aged Care Specialist is responsible for leading quality and operational excellence across the organisation's Support at Home program. The role is the organisational subject matter expert for My Aged Care and provides expert advice, coordination and oversight of participant reviews, funding requests and regulatory processes. Working collaboratively with Case Managers, Operations Managers, Finance, Clinical and Quality teams, the position ensures participants receive timely access to funding and services while maintaining compliance with the Aged Care Act, Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and organisational policies.
The role is equally focused on quality assurance, continuous improvement, reporting, stakeholder engagement and governance, ensuring that systems, documentation and operational practices support protected, compliant and high-quality participant outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all My Aged Care referrals, reassessments and Support Plan Reviews
- Coordinate funding review requests, urgent reassessments, End of Life Pathway, Restorative Care and Assistive Technology/Home Modification applications
- Monitor all outstanding requests and proactively follow up assessors and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate participant information within My Aged Care systems
- Review participant documentation to ensure compliance before submission
- Undertake quality reviews of assessments, care plans and supporting evidence
- Identify quality risks and implement corrective actions
- Monitor compliance with organisational procedures and regulatory requirements
- Provide expert advice to Case Managers and operational leaders
- Develop and maintain dashboards for reviews, approvals, waiting times, funding requests and quality indicators
About you
- Demonstrated experience in Support at Home, Home Care Packages or My Aged Care
- Strong understanding of the Aged Care Act, Strengthened Quality Standards and aged care funding pathways
- Experience in quality, compliance or governance within health or aged care
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Highly developed analytical, reporting and dashboard management skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with excellent written documentation skills
- Collaborative and approachable
- Solutions-focused with strong problem-solving skills
