Join a Leading Oncology Team Join Metro South Health as a Radiation Therapist and contribute to high-quality cancer care across radiation therapy treatment and planning services at Princess Alexandra and Mater Hospitals. This role is Temporary full-time for 12 months, with the possibility of an extension. About This Role Your new role:
Role Join the Radiation Oncology Service within Metro South Health and play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality radiation therapy to oncology patients. Working across the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Mater Hospital services, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting patients through their cancer treatment journey. You will:
- Deliver routine radiation therapy treatment and/or treatment planning services.
- Apply radiation therapy knowledge and clinical skills within a supportive team environment.
- Develop your expertise across treatment and planning while working with experienced practitioners.
- Support safe, accurate and patient-centred radiation therapy practice.
About You We're looking for a Radiation Therapist who is passionate about delivering secure, compassionate and high-quality patient care and keen to continue developing their clinical expertise. You will have:
- A sound clinical expertise in radiation therapy and treatment planning principles.
- The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong patient focus, providing compassionate care, education and support throughout the patient journey.
- A growth mindset, demonstrating initiative and a commitment to professional development, education and service improvement.

About Us The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant. We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres.
The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
