About the Experienced Butcher role
- Requirements: Proven qualifications in butchery alongside practical expertise in meat processing.

Key responsibilities
- Break down whole carcasses into smaller, accurately portioned meat cuts using a variety of tools and equipment.
- Prepare value-added meat products such as sausages and schnitzels, maintaining consistent quality standards.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations including temperature maintenance and cleaning protocols under established safety frameworks.
- Manage inventory by ordering supplies, rotating stock, and minimising waste effectively.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace that complies with relevant food safety legislation.
- Work within a roster that may include early shifts and weekends to meet business demands.
- Deliver knowledgeable customer service, assist with product displays, and respond to sales queries.
- Collaborate with team members to support production and sales activities.
- Potential for supervisory duties including scheduling and mentoring junior staff members.
