Build secure cloud platforms that enable teams to deliver at scale.

We're looking for an experienced Platform Infrastructure Engineer with a strong security mindset to join a major government digital transformation program. You'll play a key role in building and evolving a modern platform engineering capability, helping development teams deliver secure, scalable and reliable cloud solutions.

n

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Design, build and enhance AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
n
- Develop reusable platform modules, standards and secure infrastructure patterns.
n
- Work closely with Platform, DevSecOps and Engineering teams to improve automation, CI/CD pipelines and developer experience.
n
- Implement secure-by-default infrastructure, cloud security guardrails and IAM best practices.
n
- Support infrastructure across multiple environments, including development, test, QA and production.
n
- Improve platform reliability, consistency and operational excellence through automation.
n
- Contribute to technical documentation, standards and platform best practices.
n
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders in a complex enterprise environment.
n

What you'll bring

n

n
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud services.
n
- Advanced Terraform experience, including reusable modules and state management.
n
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar DevSecOps tooling.
n
- Solid understanding of CI/CD,



Infrastructure as Code, automation and version control.
n
- Strong knowledge of IAM, cloud networking, security groups, permissions and environment segregation.
n
- Experience implementing security controls within cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
n
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to engineering standards and platform improvements.
n

Highly regarded

n

n
- AWS security services and cloud security best practices.
n
- Security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks or ASD Essential Eight.
n
- SAST/DAST, container security, secrets management or policy-as-code.
n
- Experience working within government or other highly regulated environments.
n
- Platform Engineering or Internal Developer Platform (IDP) experience.
n
- Kafka, Confluent or event streaming technologies.
n
