Building Services Engineer (Geelong, hydraulics & fire protection)

Due to business growth, this is a new role where you’ll have autonomy and flexibility. You’ll be involved in a range of hydraulic and fire protection building services projects as well as delivering technical excellence to an expanding client base.

About You
- EA Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Hydraulic Engineering (or equivalent)
- Min. 5 years exp. in hydraulic & fire protection building services eng.
- Strong wet fire sprinkler design experience
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and Construction Codes
- Proven exp in technical design of building services, AutoCAD and Revit
- Confidence collaborating with staff, architects, engineers & building services specialists
- A proactive & continuous improvement mindset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- RPEV or RPEQ or CPEng registration
The Role
Based in Geelong, you’ll be responsible for delivering and overseeing hydraulic engineering services across sectors including health, education, commercial, urban, civic and recreational. Your typical day may include:
- Developing engineering design documentation, including drawings, specifications & reports
- Offering technical leadership to hydraulic engineering team members
- Providing hydraulic engineering support NT, QLD, VIC & WA offices
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers and emerging professionals
- Innovative systems thinking to enhance delivery, quality & processes
- Help shaping the growth & capability of the national engineering team
