Matrix Education is now hiring Science Teachers to join the team at our Hurstville campus. Recent term commences the week beginning 20 July 2026.

As a Science Teacher at Matrix, you will teach your regular classes each week at one of our fabulous campuses, with minimal preparation required, as lessons and resources are prepared for you.
n
This role is ideal for a current NESA accredited Teacher, a professional with previous teaching experience, or a postgraduate student (MTeach, MD or PhDc).
n
Our classes run after school on weekdays and on weekends.
n
What you'll do...
n
n
- Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic term.
n
- Teaching opportunities available on weekdays during the NSW school holiday period.
n
- Ongoing monitoring of student's academic progress through marking of short weekly quizzes.
n
- Flagging of struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring.
n
n
What you'll need...
n
n
- A genuine passion for teaching.
n
- Previous experience teaching Chemistry and/or Physics in a classroom setting.
n
- Have extensive knowledge of the current NESA curriculum in stage 5 or 6 Chemistry and/or Physics.
n
- Have completed their degree in Education, Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
n
- Postgraduate studies in the above listed disciplines will be highly regarded.
