We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator (Vulnerability Specialist) to join a large and complex enterprise workplace on a cyber security uplift initiative. In this role, you will be responsible for remediating security vulnerabilities across a diverse technology landscape through patching, system upgrades and configuration improvements.

Working closely with the Cyber Security team, you will play a key role in strengthening the organisation's security posture by implementing automated patching solutions, improving vulnerability management processes and ensuring critical infrastructure remains secure and compliant with industry best practice.

Key responsibilities
n
n
- Remediate cyber security vulnerabilities through patching, configuration changes and system upgrades.
n
- Manage the end to end vulnerability remediation lifecycle, including planning, testing, change management and implementation.
n
- Develop and implement automated patching strategies aligned with the ACSC Essential Eight.
n
- Deploy automated solutions to manage operating system and application patching across servers, workstations, mobile devices and IoT devices.
n
- Configure and implement Group Policy, Microsoft Intune policies and scripting solutions to address security configuration vulnerabilities.
n
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure vulnerability remediation activities are delivered effectively and within agreed timeframes.
n
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of cyber security and infrastructure management practices.

Highly desirable criteria
n
n
- Demonstrated experience in vulnerability remediation across enterprise environments.
n
- Minimum five years of experience in Systems Administration, IT Operations or a similar technical role.
n
- Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments, Active Directory, VMware ESX, SQL Clusters, Group Policy and enterprise backup solutions.
n
- Experience administering Microsoft Intune, Azure Update Manager and enterprise monitoring platforms.
n
- Recent experience delivering vulnerability management within large corporate or government environments.
n
- Experience working with Linux environments.
n
- Knowledge of ITIL or other IT Service Management frameworks.
n
- Experience developing automation through scripting to improve infrastructure management.
n
- Ability to work across multiple stakeholders while managing competing priorities.
