About the role
n
Support our Operations Director and Principal Engineers with the Structural design and documentation and undertake engineering analysis and design assignments.
n
Your other responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Technical Expertise: Analyze and design structures in compliance with Australian Standards and industry best practices using engineering software such as Microstran, RAPT, Inducta, Spacegass.
n
- Project Management: Oversee day-to-day engineering assignments, ensuring timely and professional delivery of projects to client specifications.
n
- Business Development:
Collaborate with the Principal Engineer and Operations Director to identify growth opportunities, manage client instructions, and develop new business.
n
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Operations Director regarding operational activities and business opportunities.
n
- Client Engagement: Liaise directly with clients to meet project requirements and maintain relationships.
n
- Site Visits: Conduct site inspections and surveys as required to confirm design solutions.
n
- Health and Safety: Adhere to WHS legislation and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
n
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs meet WCE quality standards, adhering to internal policies and procedures.
n
n
To be successful you must have the following:
n
Degree in Engineering with at least 5 years relevant experience
n Professional Qualifications: CP Eng, MIE Aust
n Working knowledge of Australian Standards
n Experience in managing internal/external resources in delivery
n Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
n Self motivated, confident, energetic and creative
n Software familiarity-RAPT,RAM Concept, BIM, ETABS, Space Gass
n Robust organization and time management skills
n Be proactive and driven with strong business acumen
n Ability to work independently and as part of the team
