South Coast Baptist College (SCBC) is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join our Secondary School team.

Working collaboratively with the Head of Learning Area and fellow educators, you will deliver engaging, high-quality Mathematics programs that challenge and inspire students while supporting their academic, personal, and spiritual growth. About the role

n

Working as part of our Secondary Mathematics team, you will:

n

- Deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum, including ATAR and General pathways.
n
- Create positive, inclusive and student-centred learning environments.
n
- Assess, monitor and report on student achievement using a variety of assessment strategies.
n
- Adapt teaching to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
n
- Integrate technology to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
n
- Work collaboratively with colleagues on curriculum planning, moderation and resource development.
n
- Contribute to the pastoral care and wellbeing of students.
n
- Participate in College events, co-curricular activities and the wider life of the school.
n

This is a contractteaching position (0.7–1.0 FTE),



commencing January 2027.

- Demonstrated experience teaching Secondary Mathematics.

- A strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum.

- Strong planning, organisation and assessment skills.

- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional growth.

- A desire to contribute to the Christian mission and values of the College.

Essential requirements

n
- Current (or eligible) Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration.
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education and Mathematics.
n
- Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
n
- National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain.
n
- Personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
n
- Active participation in a church or Christian community.
n
- Acceptance of the College's Statement of Faith.
n
- Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment.
n

Desirable

n
- Experience teaching ATAR and/or General Senior Secondary Mathematics courses.
n
- Experience integrating technology into classroom teaching.
n
- A willingness to contribute to co-curricular and extracurricular programs.
n
