We are partnering with a high-growth fintech company to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant for a part time opportunity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong focus on payroll compliance, and enjoys improving processes within a collaborative finance team.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Handle end-to-end payroll processing and ensure compliance with current legislation
n
- Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and awards, applying updates as needed
n
- Assist in the preparation and lodgment of payroll tax obligations
n
- Identify and implement process efficiencies across payroll and accounts
n
- Process supplier invoices, prepare payment runs, and maintain accurate records
n
- Assist with monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations and support BAS preparation and lodgment
n
- Provide general support across the finance function as required
n

About You

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline
n
- CA/CPA qualified or currently pursuing
n
- Strong understanding of payroll processing, compliance, and payroll tax
n
- A continuous improvement mindset and attention to detail
n
- Excellent Communication Skills both verbal and written
n
