The Opportunity

This is a senior opportunity for an experienced GIS professional to take ownership of a complex Enterprise GIS environment, supporting critical spatial data, platforms, mapping services, and system improvements. You will play a key role in ensuring GIS data integrity, platform performance, and practical spatial outcomes across a large, multi-stakeholder organisation.

The Role

n

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day management, optimisation, and continuous improvement of Enterprise GIS systems and spatial data services.

- Manage and optimise Enterprise GIS platforms, spatial databases, and web mapping services
n
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, backups, security, and system performance
n
- Maintain GIS data repositories, metadata, standards, quality controls, and database design
n
- Provide expert GIS advice, acting as an escalation point for complex technical matters
n
- Deliver advanced spatial analysis, modelling, reporting, and data visualisation outcomes
n
- Support enhancement initiatives through stakeholder consultation, education, and system improvements

About You

n





You will be a technically robust GIS specialist with the judgement, communication skills, and ownership needed to support a complex enterprise environment.

n
- Strong experience managing GIS platforms, databases, and web delivery systems
n
- Expert knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Platform, including ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, and Online
n
- Practical experience with FME, spatial data modelling, Arcade, Python, and SQL
n
- Strong capability across spatial analysis, cartography, and data visualisation
n
- Well-developed problem-solving, prioritisation, and time management skills
n
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across varied business groups
n
- Senior GIS role with broad technical ownership and influence
n
- Work across enterprise platforms, spatial data, automation, and web mapping
n
