Reporting to the Head of People and Safety, you will coordinate recruitment activities across our operational and corporate workforce, with a strong focus on recruiting bus drivers and other frontline transport employees. You will manage the recruitment process from vacancy through to commencement, ensuring candidates have a positive experience while vacancies are filled efficiently and in line with our workforce requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment campaigns across the business.
- Manage high-volume recruitment of bus drivers and operational employees.
- Advertise vacancies across appropriate job boards, social media and recruitment channels.
- Screen applications and conduct telephone/video pre-screening.
- Coordinate interviews, assessments and pre-employment requirements.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and ensure candidates progress efficiently through the recruitment process.
- Liaise closely with Depot Managers, Operations Leaders and hiring managers to understand workforce requirements.
- Coordinate medicals, police checks, licence verification and other role-specific pre-employment checks.
- Support the onboarding process and ensure new employees are ready to commence safely and effectively.
- Develop and maintain talent pools for ongoing driver and operational recruitment needs.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment coordination, talent acquisition ora similar role.
- Experience recruiting in the transport, logistics, passenger transport, heavy vehicle or similarly operational industries.
- Experience with high-volume recruitment, preferably including driver recruitment.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to compliance.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruitment platforms.
- A qualified, approachable and candidate-focused manner.
- The confidence to work closely with operational leaders and challenge or influence when required.
