We are seeking a detail-orientated and experienced Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team from October 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a well-established role, replacing our long-serving Regional Accountant who is retiring after a successful career with the company. A comprehensive handover and transition period will be provided to ensure a smooth transfer of knowledge.

As part of a global organisation, you will work closely with our Corporate Finance team in the United States, collaborating with experienced finance professionals across multiple international businesses. Reporting to the Accounting Manager based in the United States, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with Australian and New Zealand statutory obligations, and providing meaningful financial analysis to support business decision-making.

This is a hybrid position based at our South Brisbane office, conveniently located within walking distance to West End, Southbank and the Brisbane CBD, with flexibility to work from home.

About the Role

As the Regional Accountant, you will be responsible for a broad range of financial, taxation and payroll activities across Australia and Current Zealand, including:

- Managing the monthly financial close process, ensuring journals, accruals, prepayments and adjustments are completed accurately and on time.
- Supporting the Corporate Finance team with invoice batching across multiple international entities.




- Preparing timely and accurate financial reports, dashboards, variance analysis and management commentary.
- Managing the fortnightly payroll process and superannuation obligations, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, Modern Awards, employment agreements and company policies.
- Monitor cash at bank to ensure the business can meet cash flow requirements.
- Oversee and review the payment of Vendors within credit terms.
- Oversee the collection of Accounts Receivable and action debt collection within established policies.
- Act as an authorised signature on bank accounts as required.
- Working with the Group's external tax advisors to prepare and lodge all Australian and New Zealand statutory obligations, including:

- Income tax returns
- BAS and IAS (GST, PAYG Withholding, Fuel Tax, FBT Instalments, Withholding Tax)

- Payroll Tax

- Superannuation
- Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) return

- Single Touch Payroll (STP)

- Withholding Tax annual return
- WorkCover and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Monitoring changes to Australian and New Zealand taxation and payroll legislation and advising management of any business impacts.
- Reviewing and maintaining projects within the ERP system to support accurate and efficient billing.
- Assisting with the annual budgeting process for Australia.




- Coordinating insurance policy renewal submissions.
- Preparing data for Australian Bureau of Statistics surveys and other regulatory reporting.
- Participating in process improvement initiatives, special projects and other duties as required.
- Maintaining ongoing professional development to ensure current knowledge of accounting, taxation and payroll legislation.

Candidates

To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years' experience in a similar accounting position.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Query and financial reporting
- Experience working within a large corporate or complex organisational environment.
- Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, particularly revenue recognition.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Modern Awards and employment compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using ERP systems (Deltek experience highly regarded).
- Working knowledge of Xero payroll software is desirable.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across international teams.
- Sound professional judgement and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
