The Role
Shape the next chapter of your career in a regional leadership role delivering insurance building and restoration projects across Central Queensland.
Reporting to the General Manager and Operations Manager, this role offers the flexibility to be based in Rockhampton or Hervey Bay, where you will lead and support a multidisciplinary team, overseeing project delivery, financial performance, safety, quality and customer outcomes. Providing transparent direction, structure and accountability will be key to ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, profitably and to the high standards expected by our clients and customers.
Bringing together people leadership, commercial oversight and operational management, this role will keep you closely connected to both your team and project delivery, with regular site visits and travel throughout the region. You will monitor portfolio performance, step into complex or escalated matters when required, and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, insurers, loss adjusters, subcontractors and internal teams.
Whether you are an established leader seeking a fresh regional challenge or a senior Supervisor, Estimator or insurance building professional ready to progress into broader people and project management, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact across people, projects and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Supervisors and Estimators, driving accountability, performance and professional development.
- Oversee residential and commercial insurance repair and restoration projects across Central Queensland, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
- Drive operational and commercial performance across project timeframes, invoicing, budgets, job costs, margins, progress claims and variations.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and workmanship, ensuring defects and other issues are resolved promptly.
- Drive compliance with all Work Health and Safety requirements,
including Safe Work Method Statements, site inductions, incident reporting and controls for high-risk activities.
- Lead weekly construction and Work in Progress reviews, maintaining accurate programs, forecasts, key dates and project documentation.
- Take ownership of complex or escalated projects, coordinating solutions and communicating effectively with homeowners, insurers, loss adjusters, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Strengthen client relationships, support regional business growth and ensure all quotation, purchase order and project approval processes are followed.

Could This Be You?
We are looking for an experienced and energetic leader who brings strong commercial judgement, high personal standards and a genuine commitment to developing others. To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience leading, mentoring or coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ideally including Supervisors, Estimators and tradespeople.
- Strong knowledge of construction programming, project budgets, job costing, margins and current labour and material rates.
- Experience in insurance building, insurance repairs, disaster recovery or property restoration will be highly regarded but is not essential.
- A carpentry trade qualification or diploma or degree in building and construction will be highly regarded.
- Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation, construction compliance and safe work practices.
- The ability to manage complex or escalated projects calmly and decisively while building strong relationships with insurers, loss adjusters, homeowners, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations, together with competence in Microsoft Office and industry-specific project management systems.
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout Central Queensland
