About the Opportunity

Mercury Marine is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead sales performance across South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Victoria.

This is a dealer-facing sales and business development role focused on driving retail growth, strengthening dealer capability and expanding market share across an established territory. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with dealers, boat builders, fleet operators and key industry stakeholders while delivering sales outcomes aligned to company objectives.

Working closely with the national sales team and dealer network, you will identify growth opportunities, develop territory sales strategies, support dealer performance and represent Mercury Marine throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

- Dealer Network Development & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Mercury Marine dealers throughout the allocated territory.
- Conduct regular dealer visits, business reviews and growth planning sessions.
- Support the ongoing development and performance of the dealer network.
- Identify and engage prospective dealers and new market opportunities.




- Develop strong partnerships with boat builders, rental fleet operators, distributors and industry stakeholders.

Sales & Business Development

- Develop and implement annual sales strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Drive retail sales growth and market share across the assigned territory.
- Manage key accounts and maintain a structured customer engagement program.
- Identify and convert recent business opportunities within the region.
- Monitor competitor activity and changing market conditions to identify opportunities for growth.

Dealer Training & Support

- Deliver dealer and OEM sales training programs.
- Enhance product knowledge, sales capability and customer engagement across the dealer network.
- Support the implementation of national sales initiatives within the territory.
- Assist dealers in maximizing retail sales performance and market penetration.

Planning & Reporting

- Prepare and maintain accurate sales and inventory forecasts.
- Submit regular reports detailing customer visits, sales activities, opportunities and business outcomes.
- Contribute insights and recommendations to support strategic business planning.

To be successful in this role,



you will have:
- 5-7 years' experience in a sales management, territory management or business development role.
- Demonstrated success managing dealer networks, channel partners or distribution relationships.
- A proven track record of achieving sales and growth objectives.
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen, including an understanding of SME business operations and financial principles.
- Strategic planning, problem-solving and business development capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while effectively managing a geographically dispersed territory.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable

- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA, Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in Business.
- Marine industry experience.
- Experience working with dealer, OEM or branded distribution networks.

Travel Requirements

- Regular travel throughout South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Victoria.
- Attendance at boat shows, trade exhibitions, dealer open days and industry events.
- Interstate travel as required.
- Occasional weekend work associated with customer, dealer and industry events.
