Position Overview

The Primary Health Care Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based health services that are culturally appropriate and responsive to the needs of the community.



This position is key to ensuring the effective functioning of clinical services and enhancing client care through education, collaboration, and quality improvement initiatives. The RN will work within a multi-disciplinary team to focus on prevention, early detection, and management of health challenges, fostering a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual who is dedicated to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

- Bachelor of Nursing and current APHRA registration.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge of primary health care principles and continuous quality improvement practices.
- Possess QLD Drivers Licence, current National Police check (completed in the last 4 weeks) or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
