We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled full time Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, based inour busy workshop in Warragul VIC.

Reporting directly to the Workshop Foreman, the successful candidate will work on a fleet of Heavy Waste vehicles.Tasks will involve but not be limited to the following:

n





General mechanical works

n

Welding

n

Both major and minor repairs

n

Carrying out breakdown repairs

n

Scheduled maintenance

n

The successful applicant will possess:

n

Trade certification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical.

n

A current rigid truck driver's license

n

Familiarity with Quality Assurance & Occupational Health & Safety

n

Good communication and organisational skills

n

Experience in hydraulics, automotive electrics or welding is not essential, but would be an advantage, as would a forklift licence. Previous experience in a similar role would also be highly regarded.

n

A generous rate will be negotiated, depending on experience.

n

In accordance with our Company's recruitment process, all successful applicants will be required to undergo a Pre Employment Medical, which includes a drug test. A current driving history, with a valuable driving record will also need to be provided.
