About the role
n
A Senior User Interface Developer is required to support the delivery of digital customer-facing services across multiple channels. The role sits within a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering connected and accessible digital experiences.
n
The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining user interface components using up-to-date front-end technologies. The successful candidate will work as part of an Agile team to develop customer-centric web solutions, contribute to UI design and testing activities, and provide advice to internal and external stakeholders on project deliverables.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
- Support UI analysis and design activities including concept design, test strategies, and user acceptance studies.
n
- Provide advice to stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business requirements and delivery environments.
n
- Encourage team communication and support business improvement initiatives.
n
n
Skills and Experience
n
n
- Proven experience developing and maintaining customer-focused web applications in Agile environments.
n
- Experience analysing business requirements and delivering appropriate UI solutions.
n
- Demonstrated involvement in planning, design, development, testing, and deployment phases.
n
- Strong skills in:
n
- Node.js
n
n
Highly Desirable
n
n
- Experience with:
n
- Build tools (e.g. NPM, Gulp, Webpack, Vite)
n
- Testing frameworks (e.g. Jasmine, Jest, Selenium, Cypress)
n
- REST API
n
- SQL
n
- Storybook, Chromatic
n
- Experience with Squiz Matrix and/or form.io.
n
- Familiarity with the Single Web Experience (SWE) framework and government design systems.
n
n
6 month initial contract with possibly extensions
n
Hybrid working arrangement
n
