Your new company An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Design Manager to join a well-established developer delivering a landmark mixed-use project on the Gold Coast. Working client-side, you will take ownership of the design process from feasibility through to construction, ensuring innovative, commercially sound and buildable outcomes are achieved.

- Lead and manage the design process across all project phases.
n
- Coordinate and manage external consultants, ensuring deliverables meet project objectives.
n
- Drive design quality, buildability, cost control and programme outcomes.
n
- Manage design coordination during construction and resolve on-site design issues.
n
- Oversee the preparation and assessment of design and construction tender packages.
n
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors to maintain project alignment.
n
- Ensure compliance with relevant planning, regulatory and building requirements.
n
- Review and optimise designs to balance commercial, aesthetic and construction objectives.

What you'll need to succeed

n

n




- 10+ years' experience in Architecture, Design Management or a related discipline.
n
- Previous client-side or developer-side experience on large-scale projects.
n
- Proven ability to manage design through construction and resolve complex design issues.
n
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, design documentation and consultant management.
n
- Experience assessing design and construction tenders.
n
- Sound understanding of relevant building codes, planning requirements and industry standards.
n
- Proficiency reviewing technical drawings and design documentation.
n
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
n
