Established Specialist Practice
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Medical Practice Manager to join a well-established specialist medical practice in St Leonards.
This is a senior role suited to an organised, commercially minded and people-focused Practice Manager who enjoys taking ownership of the day-to-day operations of a busy specialist practice and working closely with medical specialists.
About the Role
As Practice Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the practice, while maintaining a strong focus on patient experience, staff performance and business outcomes.
You will have responsibility across practice operations, people management, financial administration, compliance and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the specialist medical practice
- Lead, support and manage the practice team, including recruitment, training, rostering and performance management
- Manage patient bookings, appointment schedules and patient flow
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, budgeting and financial reporting
- Monitor and improve practice systems, processes and procedures
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy legislation and professional standards
- Oversee patient records and ensure confidentiality and data security
- Work closely with the specialists to ensure the practice operates efficiently and effectively
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and the overall patient experience
- Manage competing priorities and resolve operational issues confidently and independently
About You
We are looking for an experienced Medical Practice Manager who can take ownership of the role and confidently manage the operational and people aspects of a specialist practice.
You will ideally have:
- Previousmedical practice management experience
- Strong understanding of specialist medical practice operations
- Proven experience managing and developing staff
- Experience with budgets, forecasting, invoicing and financial management
- Strong knowledge of practice management systems and general IT
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Knowledge of Medicare billing and private health insurance
- A professional and patient-focused approach
- High levels of confidentiality, integrity and attention to detail
