How you'll make a difference
n
This position will provide experience and a greater level of responsibility working on a diverse array of high profile, major infrastructure assessment projects across a range of sectors, including transport (road/rail/ports/air), water utilities, energy, and resource sectors. You will work amongst a team of high-performing peers and alongside our clients, while learning first‐hand from our in-house senior advisors and technical leaders.

What will a day in this role look like:
n
n
- Desktop ecological assessments using Commonwealth, State and local databases and mapping.
n
- Plan and deliver field‐based ecological surveys, including ground‐truthing vegetation and habitat types, BioCondition assessments, threatened species surveys (flora and fauna) and monitoring.
n
- Ecological impact assessment and management planning for a diverse range of projects.
n
- Uphold positive and beneficial relationships with clients, contractors, government agencies, service providers and team members.
n

Qualifications
n

- Degree in environmental science, natural resource management or similar.
n
- Working knowledge of Commonwealth,
Queensland and local legislation relating to the environment.
n
- Knowledge of desktop and field‐based ecological assessment methods.
n
- Strong data management skills and experience with GIS desktop and data collection packages such as ESRI, ArcGIS and Fulcrum.
n
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
n
- Capacity to undertake short and extended field programs, including travel to remote locations, and hold a current driver's licence.
n
