Registered Nurse (RN)
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical leadership and coordinate the delivery of high-quality nursing care in accordance with professional standards, legislative requirements, organisational policies, and the Aged Care Quality Standards. You will be responsible for clinical assessments, care planning, medication management, monitoring resident wellbeing, and supporting care staff to deliver safe and effective care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and develop individualised care plans.
- Manage and evaluate clinical care outcomes.
- Administer and monitor medications and treatments in accordance with legislation and best practice.
- Identify and respond appropriately to changes in resident health status.
- Lead and mentor Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, and care staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention and control, and clinical governance activities.
- Collaborate effectively with residents, families, allied health professionals, visiting medical practitioners, and other stakeholders.
- Support compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and organisational procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Current and unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum two (2) years' recent experience working within residential aged care.
- Demonstrated clinical assessment, care planning, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Sound knowledge of residential aged care legislation, standards, and best practice principles.
- Experience coordinating and supervising care teams.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to work across a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays where required.
- Current National Police Check and other mandatory employment screening clearances.
- Current and unrestricted Australian working rights.
Desirable
- Experience using electronic clinical management systems.
- Knowledge of AN-ACC funding and documentation requirements.
- Training or experience in dementia care, palliative care, wound management, or infection prevention and control.
Enrolled Nurse (EN)
About the Role
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will work closely with Registered Nurses and the broader care team to deliver safe, effective, and person-centred care to residents. This role requires a proactive nursing professional who can confidently support resident care needs while ensuring documentation, medication administration, and clinical practices meet professional and organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care within scope of practice.
- Assist with resident assessments and care plan implementation.
- Administer medications in accordance with qualifications, legislation, and organisational policies.
- Monitor resident health and wellbeing and escalate clinical concerns as required.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes.
- Support quality improvement and infection prevention initiatives.
- Collaborate with residents, families, Registered Nurses, allied health professionals, and care staff.
- Contribute positively to a respectful and supportive team culture.
Essential Requirements
- Current and unrestricted registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Minimum two (2) years' recent experience in residential aged care.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe, resident-focused clinical care.
- Understanding of medication management, documentation requirements, and clinical care processes.
- Sound knowledge of aged care practices and resident rights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work across a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays where required.
- Current National Police Check and any other required employment screening clearances.
- Current and unrestricted Australian working rights.
Desirable
- Experience working with residents living with dementia and complex care needs.
- Familiarity with electronic clinical and medication management systems.
- Additional training in aged care, palliative care, infection control, or chronic disease management.
Assistant in Nursing (AIN)
About the Role
As an Assistant in Nursing, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, choice, and quality of life. You will work closely with nursing staff and the broader care team to ensure residents receive compassionate, respectful, and person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care activities including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Support residents with meals, hydration, and nutrition.
- Observe and report changes in resident wellbeing and behaviour.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Assist with social engagement and lifestyle activities.
- Support residents to maintain independence and participate in decision-making wherever possible.
- Contribute to a safe, clean, and positive living environment.
- Work collaboratively with the nursing and care team to deliver high-quality resident care.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Individual Support (Ageing and Disability), or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience within aged care, disability services, community care, or healthcare environments is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated understanding of dignity, privacy, cultural sensitivity, and person-centred care principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable work attendance and a positive, team-focused attitude.
- Ability to work across a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays where required.
- Current National Police Check and mandatory employment screening clearances.
- Current and unrestricted Australian working rights.
