Role Description The Research Assistant role is a part-time, remote position supporting ERDH’s sustainability and energy transition projects. In this role, the Research Assistant gathers, reviews, and synthesizes relevant literature, policy documents, and technical reports related to sustainable building and energy systems.

Daily tasks include collecting and organizing data, conducting basic data analysis, preparing concise summaries, and contributing to reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

The Research

Assistant collaborates with project managers and subject matter experts to ensure research outputs are accurate, timely, and useful for decision-making. The role also involves maintaining research documentation and helping to improve research processes and tools.

Qualifications

- Robust Research and Analytical Skills to collect, evaluate, and synthesize information from diverse sources.




- Communication skills to present findings clearly in writing and in virtual meetings with multidisciplinary teams.
- Data Analysis abilities to work with quantitative and qualitative data relevant to sustainability and building performance.
- Laboratory Skills or technical familiarity with environmental or building-related measurements are an advantage but not mandatory.
- Relevant academic background in environmental science, engineering, public policy, urban planning, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks in parallel.
- Interest in sustainability, energy transition, and public sector collaboration; experience with Dutch or European climate policy is a plus.
- Proficiency with standard office and data tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software; basic statistics or data visualization is helpful).
