Macquarie Community College is a not-for-profit registered training organisation (RTO 90033) and is one of Sydney’s largest Community Colleges.

We are excited to be seeking a SEE Assessor who is an experienced English language and literacy specialist with strong ACSF assessment expertise and the ability to thrive in a energetic, learner-centred training environment

Position Overview

The SEE Assessor is responsible for conducting fair, consistent and accurate assessments of adult learners entering the SEE Program. The role requires strong knowledge of ACSF levels,



adult LLND needs and compliant assessment practices. The assessor will work with learners from diverse backgrounds and contribute to an effective enrolment, placement and learner support process.

Reporting to the SEE Program Manager, this role will:

- Conduct initial Pre-Training Assessments for prospective SEE learners.
- Assess learner skills across reading, writing, oral communication, numeracy and digital literacy.
- Benchmark learner performance using the Australian Core Skills Framework.
- Identify learning needs, barriers and appropriate training pathways.
- Complete accurate records, assessment evidence and reporting documentation.
- Deliver and assess English language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills training when required.
- Contribute to resource development, moderation, validation and continuous improvement activities.

Essential knowledge and skills required:

- A bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration.
- Recognised post graduate qualification in TESOL, EAL, Adult Literacy/Numeracy, Applied Linguistics or a related field.
- TAE40116 or TAE 40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment +TAELLN411 and TAEASS502.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience conducting LLND, EAL, foundation skills or adult learning assessments.
- Demonstrated ability to benchmark learner skills using the ACSF.
- Experience with PTA processes, learner interviews, assessment evidence collection and compliant record keeping.

- An efficient and highly organised approach to assessment documentation, evidence collection and reporting.
- The ability to explain assessment processes clearly, calmly and professionally.Ability to deliver engaging, contextualised LLND training
