We are seeking a Resource Planning Officer to join our team! This is a permanent full-time role (Monday to Friday), based in either our Belmont or Port Hedland office.

About the Opportunity:

Norwest is seeking an experienced Resource Planning Officer to support our growing shutdown, maintenance, and project operations across Western Australia. Reporting to the Planning Manager, this office-based role can be based at either our Belmont (Perth) or Port Hedland office to suit the right candidate.

You'll work closely with the operations teams to plan workforce requirements, build sustainable crew pipelines, and ensure readiness well ahead of mobilisation. A key part of the role is managing three sources of labour in parallel: our own workers, our internal labour hire, and third-party labour hire providers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Develop and maintain workforce schedules for shutdowns, maintenance, and project works
- Coordinate and allocate labour across our own workers, internal labour hire, and third-party labour hire providers
- Assign personnel to jobs based on availability, competencies, and project requirement
- Maintain a rolling labour forecast to ensure resource requirements are met ahead of demand
- Monitor and adjust plans in response to scope changes, client priorities,



and workforce availability
- Liaise with mobilisation and compliance teams to align planning outputs with mobilisation timelines
- Track and report on workforce data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Clearly communicate schedule updates, changes, and potential risks to relevant stakeholders
- Leave balance management, plus payroll and invoicing approvals

A successful candidate will possess the following:

- Proven scheduling, rostering, or coordination experience in a fast-moving environment. Resources sector experience is well regarded, but we welcome planners from logistics, mobilisation, travel, or similar backgrounds
- Confident with Excel and the ability to pick up new systems quickly (experience with Visual Dispatch is highly regarded)
- Strong attention to detail and a calm, analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
- Clear, professional communication skills, both on the phone and in writing
