Retail Manager – McDonald’s Restaurant Job Summary

Oversee day-to-day operations of a McDonald’s restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, food safety compliance, staff performance, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities.

- Supervise and schedule crew members and shift leaders across all dayparts.
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s operational standards (QSC: Quality, Service, and Cleanliness)
- Manage food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance.
- Monitor inventory, ordering, and waste control.
- Handle cash management, deposits, and register reconciliation.
- Recruit, train, and develop crew members and shift leaders.
- Address customer complaints and resolve service issues promptly.
- Track sales performance, labour costs, and other key financial metrics.
- Enforce company policies and local labour law compliance.
- Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Coordinate with Corporate and franchisee leadership on promotions and initiatives.

Qualifications





- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in fast food, retail, or restaurant management.
- Robust leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency with POS systems and scheduling software.
- Australian Standard or equivalent food safety certification a plus.

- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
