Federal Hospitality Equipment is a market leader in the sale and distribution of commercial hospitality equipment. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and reliable Field Service Refrigeration Technician to join our Melbourne service team.

This is a primarily field-based role, servicing customers throughout metropolitan Melbourne and surrounding areas. Some workshop duties may also be required when necessary.

About the Role

You will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing and modifying a broad range of commercial refrigeration and hospitality equipment, including:

- Commercial refrigerators
- Commercial freezers
- Cake and food display units
- Bain-maries
- Coolrooms
- Other commercial foodservice equipment

You will work independently across customer sites while receiving support from our wider service and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Attend customer sites across Melbourne and surrounding areas
- Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration equipment
- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Identify faults and recommend suitable repair solutions
- Replace components and complete equipment modifications
- Test equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Accurately record completed work, parts used and service findings




- Provide skilled and courteous service to customers
- Liaise with customers and internal teams regarding repair requirements
- Assist with workshop repairs, testing and equipment preparation when required

What You Will Need

To be successful in this position, you will have:

- Previous experience as a Refrigeration Technician
- A current Refrigerant Handling Licence
- A current Australian driver’s licence
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience servicing commercial refrigeration equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A professional and customer-focused approach
- The ability to work independently and manage your daily workload
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- A reliable, organised and solutions-focused attitude
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider team
- A willingness to learn and develop your technical knowledge

A current electrical licence will be highly regarded.
