Western Work Force is currently supporting a number of established civil and mining contractors with current and upcoming project requirements across Western Australia. The work covers major civil construction and earthworks packages within the mining sector, including tailings storage facilities, bulk earthworks, roads, drainage, pads and associated mine infrastructure.

We are looking to speak with experienced Civil and Earthworks Supervisors who are interested in upcoming FIFO opportunities and want to be considered as projects mobilise.

Role Overview:

These positions will suit Supervisors with a strong background working for civil and earthmoving contractors across mining projects. Current and upcoming scopes include bulk earthworks and tailings dam construction, along with broader civil infrastructure works across active mine sites.

You will be responsible for coordinating crews and plant across daily work fronts, maintaining production and safety standards, and working closely with project management, engineering and client teams to ensure works are delivered to programme.

We are particularly interested in candidates with direct experience across TSF construction, bulk earthworks and large-scale mining civil projects.

Key Responsibilities:





- Supervise civil and earthworks crews across active mining projects
- Coordinate labour, plant and subcontractors across daily work fronts
- Deliver bulk and detailed earthworks activities
- Supervise tailings dam / TSF construction works where applicable
- Coordinate roads, drainage, pads, trenching and associated civil infrastructure
- Run daily pre-starts and allocate personnel and equipment
- Monitor productivity and progress against project schedules
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements
- Maintain strong safety standards across site activities
- Complete JHAs, SWMS, permits and other required site documentation
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers and client representatives
- Identify and resolve operational issues affecting programme or productivity
- Maintain quality standards across completed works
- Support efficient utilisation of plant, labour and materials

Requirements:

To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Previous Civil Supervisor or Earthworks Supervisor experience within mining or heavy civil construction
- Robust bulk earthworks experience
- Experience working with large earthmoving fleets and civil crews




- Previous exposure to TSF / tailings dam construction highly regarded
- Experience across roads, drainage, pads and mining infrastructure
- Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies
- Ability to coordinate plant, labour and subcontractors effectively
- Good understanding of site safety systems and documentation
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Current National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and laboratory drug and alcohol screen
- Full Australian working rights

S26 Statutory Supervisor qualifications and relevant Tier 1 mining inductions will be highly regarded.
