Business Analyst – Energy Retail & Utilities

3-Month Contract (Extensions Likely) | Immediate Start | Up to $800/day

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in energy retail and utilities to join a high-priority regulatory transformation program. This is a fast-moving engagement where you'll be expected to step in with minimal onboarding, engage stakeholders quickly, and help drive delivery from day one.

The Prospect

n

You'll support the delivery of a regulatory program focused on implementing changes required to enable the safe energisation and de-energisation of customer metering infrastructure. Working as part of a broader project team, you'll partner closely with the Project Manager, Solution Design, Regulatory, Technology and external vendors to define requirements and support the successful delivery of system and process changes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands how energy retailers operate and can confidently navigate both business and technology stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

n

- Review and refine existing business analysis artefacts and requirements.
n




- Facilitate workshops and gather detailed business and functional requirements.
n
- Document business processes, user stories and solution requirements.
n
- Work with Solution Architects and delivery teams to shape system changes.
n
- Engage with regulatory, operational and technology stakeholders across the business.
n
- Coordinate with external vendor partners throughout delivery.
n
- Support planning through to implementation and go-live.
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within energy retail, utilities or metering environments.
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering skills.
n
- Experience working across business, technology and regulatory teams.
n
- Ability to quickly understand complex operational processes and translate them into clear requirements.
n
- Comfortable working independently with minimal ramp-up.
n
- Experience supporting technology and business transformation projects from discovery through delivery.
