We offer attractive hourly rates plus penalty rates on overtime, a permanent full‐time position, and work days Monday to Friday starting at 7:00 am.

As a member of the Coates team, you'll enjoy a supportive environment that values technical skill and customer service. Your role will be based at the Port Kembla branch and will support the regional service area.

Duties

n

Coates Field Service Mechanics are responsible for repair of Coates hire equipment and machinery on customer sites.

n

n
- Perform safe, effective and efficient preventative maintenance, service and overhaul as required.
n
- Deliver a level of trust and commitment to our customers that Coates is the right supplier for the project.
n
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a variety of equipment on site – work on large earthmoving machines, generators, lighting plants and boom lifts.
n
- Ensure spare parts inventory is sufficient to complete on‐site repairs.

Qualifications

n

n
- Relevant trade qualifications
n
- Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical skills
n
- Driver's licence (preferably MR or HR)
n
- Forklift and EWP tickets – beneficial
n
- Effective time management and attention to detail
n
- Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills
n
- Experience with boom or scissor lifts is advantageous
n
