What's the role about?
Based in either our Melbourne or Sydney offices, the Salvage Account Manager is responsible for overseeing the end‑to‑end salvage lifecycle of devices recovered from retail stores and customers. This role ensures efficient collection, tracking, and return of salvage inventory to designated downstream partners for disposition, maximising recovery value while maintaining compliance with operational, contractual, and regulatory requirements. The role also drives process consistency, stakeholder coordination,
and continuous improvement across the salvage workflow.
This role is responsible for:
- Manage end-to-end salvage lifecycle from collection to final disposition.
- Track and reconcile salvage inventory across systems and physical touch locations.
- Coordinate with the freight management team, repairers, and disposition vendors to meet SLAs.
- Develop strong understanding of systems supporting salvage processes.
- Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all platforms.
- Analyse data to identify discrepancies, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Identify and drive process improvements to maximise recovery value and efficiency.
- Act as key liaison between internal teams and external partners.
- Monitor KPIs and provide insights into performance, risks, and opportunities.
Does this sound like you?
- Robust understanding of salvage / recovery lifecycle processes (collection to disposition)
- Working knowledge of freight and logistics operations, including shipment coordination and SLA management
- Solid commercial acumen with understanding of cost, recovery value, and vendor performance
- Experience with systems and platforms used for inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting
- Understanding of retail/store operations, particularly returns and device handling processes + comfortable with occasional travel to stores
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify discrepancies and trends
- High attention to detail with focus on data accuracy and integrity
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across internal and external partners
- Curious mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization
- Ability to own and manage end-to-end operational processes
