Role Description This part time remote Scheduler / Logistics role supports the coordination of academic and clinical activities for the School of Medicine. The position involves organizing schedules for classes, meetings, and clinical rotations, ensuring that resources, facilities, and personnel are allocated efficiently. Daily tasks include updating calendars, monitoring demand for services, adjusting plans based on changing needs, and communicating schedule changes to faculty, staff, and students.
The Scheduler / Logistics specialist also assists with tracking operational workflows, identifying process gaps, and supporting logistics related to events, programs, and other institutional initiatives.
Qualifications
- Ability to apply Demand Planning and Production Planning skills to manage schedules and resource allocation.
- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends,
and support logistics decisions.
- Experience with Business Process Improvement to streamline scheduling and coordination workflows.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles to support efficient use of materials and services.
- Proficiency with scheduling and collaboration tools (e.g., online calendars, spreadsheets, project management platforms).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities remotely.
- Relevant education in healthcare administration, operations, logistics, or a related field; experience in an academic or healthcare setting is preferred.
