What you'll be doing

The new graduate orthotist is responsible for providing a comprehensive orthotic service to children and adults, inpatients and outpatients of the SCHN orthotics department at the Randwick Campus.

The new graduate will initially be working under supervision; however it is expected that by following a structured graduate programme that by the end of the temporary 12 month position they will be able to work somewhat autonomously and within teams.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in prosthetics and/ or orthotics which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and within teams.
- Prior experience working at an orthotic or prosthetic facility is desirable, but not essential.
- Willingness to undergo further professional development and contribute to research.
