The Opportunity
n
In partnership with Origin Energy, we are currently recruiting for a number of traineeship positions. We are searching for the next generation of trainees in the Western Down who are looking to build a career with a major local employer.
n
In this two-year traineeship, you will work towards completion of a PMA30120Certificate III in Process Plant Operations.
n
As a Wellsite Operations Trainee, you will work varying rosters depending on the requirements of your team and will work a 76-hour fortnight.
n
Your on‐the‐job training will involve being mentored by industry specialists working in the field as well as being given exposure to working in a process plant throughout your traineeship.
n
Duties will include monitoring wells and gathering systems, operating and monitoring valve systems, separator, and fluid flow equipment and maintaining a high level focus on safety and the environment while following Origin's safety processes and procedures.

Applicants who have previously completed qualifications or are currently in training within Mechanical or Electrical trades and are willing to cross‐skill to this traineeship will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this position, we're looking for candidates with the following attributes:

- Completed your schooling to at least a Year 10/12 certificate or equivalent
n
- Strong attention to detail and an investigative mind – you can identify how the smallest things impact the bigger picture
n
- Willing to work in different environments and physically challenging conditions (e.g. outdoors, in varied weather)
n
- Complete tasks to the highest quality following instructions of supervising tradespeople
n
- Work collaboratively in designated teams
n
- Commit to the completion of the qualification, submit assessments as required and attend all allocated shifts
n
- Ability to confidently communicate in an effective manner
n
- You are ready to learn and develop robust health, safety and environment values and principles, while also committing to personal learning and development
n
- You have reliable transport to and from work and hold a current manual driver's licence with P Plate minimum
n
