Software Developer (Visual Basic/.NET/React)

n

Full-Time | Hybrid (Mon, Tue & Thu in office)

A long-standing and highly respected software business in Parramatta is seeking a Software Developer to support and modernise their suite of VB6 and .NET applications. This role offers a blend of legacy maintenance and forward-looking development as the product transitions to up-to-date .NET and React. Responsibilities

n

n
- Maintain and enhance existing VB6 and .NET applications
n
- Investigate, reproduce, and resolve production and test defects
n
- Partner with QA to triage issues and strengthen defect-prevention processes
n
- Contribute to new development across .NET and React with modular, testable code
n
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and release processes
n
- Support ongoing product modernisation and refactoring of legacy components
n

Requirements

n

n
- Strong experience maintaining and debugging VB6 applications
n




- Proficiency in C# / .NET Framework (WinForms/WebForms)
n
- SQL Server experience, including stored procedures and schema design
n
- Production troubleshooting experience and working with QA teams
n
- Git version control and strong attention to detail
n
- REST API integration, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing
n
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments
n
- Interest in full-stack development and system modernisation
n

- Collaborative, accountable, and diligent with documentation and task tracking

Qualifications

n

n
- 2+ years software development experience
n
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Electrical Engineering (CS major preferred)

- Full Australian working rights
n
- Hybrid work model with three collaborative days in the office
