About the Role An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Business Services team. This role offers a mix of compliance, advisory, and client-facing work, ideal for someone who wants to move beyond pure compliance into more strategic, value-added services. You will work closely with the Director and play a key role in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

Tax & Compliance

- Preparation of Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements (BAS)
- Preparation of statutory financial statements and workpapers
- General ledger maintenance and reconciliations
- Assist with ATO audits and compliance matters
- Liaise with ATO and ASIC on behalf of clients

Advisory & Business Services

- Assist with tax planning for business and high-income clients
- Provide business structuring and tax advice




- Prepare management reports, budgets and cash flow forecasts
- Support high-net-worth clients and complex structures
- Contribute to consulting and special client projects

Client & Team Engagement

- Manage and maintain strong client relationships
- Work collaboratively with team members and the Director
- Identify proactive tax and business improvement opportunities
- Assist with client file management and internal processes

Qualifications

- 8+ years experience in Business Services / Public Practice
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax and accounting standards
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Proactive and commercially minded approach
- CA or CPA qualification desired
- Valid Australian work rights (no sponsorship required)

Required Skills

- Systems Experience
- Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with CCH (desirable but not essential)
