The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant with a minimum of 4+ years of public practice experience to join our team.
You are a professional, hands-on, technically skilled accountant. You are confident interacting with clients and peers. You take pride in your work and ownership of outcomes to deliver high-quality compliance and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns (individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships)
- BAS and IAS preparation and lodgement
- Client liaison, relationship building and portfolio management
- Timely and value adding tax and compliance advice to clients
- Assisting with tax planning and advisory work
- Supporting junior staff as required
- Ensuring compliance with Australian tax legislation and accounting standards
About You
- Minimum 4 years of experience in public practice
- Australian taxation law and compliance expertise
- Proficiency in Xero (preferred), MYOB, or similar accounting software
- Solid technical accounting and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work autonomously
- Commitment to business growth, professional and career development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion) highly regarded
