Our Heritage Assessments team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Assessments Officer to consult with stakeholders and communities, including Aboriginal communities, and provide advice on legislative requirements and conservation measures to applicants and key stakeholders at all stages of development. The role contributes to quality cultural heritage and conservation outcomes while working collaboratively within an experienced and supportive team that values learning, knowledge sharing and career development.
About You
- You’ll be comfortable managing responsive work that is required to be delivered within statutory timeframes and competing priorities.
- You are passionate about delivering positive cultural heritage outcomes and effective customer service in an environment with diverse community and customer expectations.
- You bring a willingness to learn, adapt and build new skills. We welcome people from a range of backgrounds and experiences and provide mentoring, support and on-the-job training to help you build capability and succeed in the role.
Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in heritage management/conservation, Aboriginal heritage, architecture, archaeology, planning or relevant heritage discipline or demonstrated extensive experience in a relevant heritage field.
- Current driver’s license.
