Role: Senior AWS Platform / DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Platform / DevOps Engineer to join a Platform Engineering team responsible for building, operating and continuously improving cloud platform capabilities.

This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and platform automation . You will work closely with application and engineering teams to provide secure, reliable and scalable platforms while improving developer experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build and operate scalable Kubernetes-based platform capabilities on AWS .
- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows to enable efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Build platform automation to improve operational efficiency, consistency and reliability.
- Apply engineering best practices across observability, security, reliability and cloud cost optimisation .
- Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to streamline application deployment and platform adoption.
- Apply DevOps, DevSecOps and SRE practices across platform engineering and operations.
- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive root-cause resolution.
- Support cloud architecture, networking, security and operational controls.




- Contribute to continuous improvement of platform engineering standards, tooling and processes.
- Operate effectively within a highly regulated environment, ensuring appropriate security and controls compliance.
- Participate in production support and on-call rotations to maintain platform availability and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ of years strong hands-on experience in AWS platform/cloud engineering within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Proven experience designing, building and operating Kubernetes platforms , particularly AWS EKS.
- Strong understanding of AWS cloud architecture, services, networking and security.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Robust experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines , ideally using GitHub Actions.
- Experience with containerised workloads and platforms such as EKS and ECS .
- Strong understanding of DevOps, Platform Engineering, DevSecOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
- Experience implementing observability, platform reliability, security and operational automation.
- Scripting and automation experience using Python .
- Experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments with strong security, governance and controls requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on engineering quality, automation and continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with application, product, engineering and operations teams.
