Role: Senior Azure Could Platform Infrastructure Engineers - (EL1 Level)

Location of work: Canberra

Length of contract: 12 months

Contract extensions: 24 months extension (02 extensions of 12 months each)

Security clearance: Must be an Australian citizen and holding Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance

Job details The Department is looking for an Azure Could Platform Engineer who has experience in managing cloud hosted infrastructure using infrastructure as code in support of data and analytics workloads.

Key duties and responsibilities:

The roles will be responsible for the detailed solution design, development, and implementation of infrastructure in Azure in support of data and analytics workloads. These outcomes are delivered using an infrastructure as code deployment model using Terraform and the successful candidate with require experience with the following platforms and technology:

1. Azure Cloud
2. Azure hosted Data and Analytics Platforms such as
3. Azure Databricks
4. Azure Data Factory
5. Azure Web Apps
6. Logic Apps
7. Azure security features such as
8. Networking
9. Identity and Access Management
10. Policy
11. Infrastructure as Code
12. Terraform based infrastructure management
13.



Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipelines
14. Collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements to design and implement Advanced Analytics and AI solutions.
15. Experience in delivery and/or administration of Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or other analytical services.

17. Experience in Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) and Large Language Model Operations (LLMOps).
18. Delivery and or administration experience with traditional data technology solutions

Essential criteria

- 1.Experience designing, building and maintaining cloud hosted platforms and services (Infrastructure, Platform and Software as a Service)
- 2.Experience developing, implementing, and supporting cloud infrastructure using an infrastructure as code (IaC) approach
- 3.Understanding of cloud security features for platforms and services such as Identity and Access Management, Networking and Policy
- 4.Experience working in Data and Analytics focused projects (Data Engineering, Storage or Data Science)
- 5.Working with multi-disciplinary teams using an Agile methodology

Desirable criteria
- 1.Experience work with Data Lake
- 2.Experience working with Geospatial platforms
