MW Migration Solutions Senior Broadacre Crop and Livestock Farm Worker - Full-Time Location: East Hyden Bin Road, Hyden WA 6359 Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: $77,000 - $80,000 AUD per annum (commensurate with skills and experience) Summary We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Senior Broadacre Crop and Livestock Farm Worker on behalf of our client, Nield Farming , a family-owned broadacre farming operation located near Hyden, Western Australia .

Nield

Farming produces wheat, barley, canola, lupins and oats, complemented by a Merino sheep flock producing crossbred fat lambs across its farming properties.

The business operates a broad range of modern machinery and provides fully equipped machinery sheds, employee quarters and amenities. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity suited to a motivated individual with well-rounded experience in mixed farming operations, including broadacre crop production and livestock management. The role involves hands-on farm work as well as assisting with the coordination of day-to-day farming activities.

About the Role Working closely with farm management and alongside the farming team, the successful candidate will support both cropping and livestock operations. The role includes operating and maintaining modern farm machinery, assisting with seasonal cropping activities, caring for livestock, and contributing to the general maintenance and efficient operation of the farm.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Supporting the planning and implementation of broadacre cropping programs, including sowing, fertilising, spraying and harvesting Operating and maintaining modern farm machinery such as tractors, sprayers, seeders, harvesters and front-end loaders Monitoring crop and pasture health and reporting signs of disease, pest infestations or deficiencies Providing care for livestock, including feeding, monitoring, handling and assisting with movement and transportation Recording and reporting livestock data, machinery usage and crop production figures as required Assisting with the coordination and supervision of seasonal workers during high-demand periods Transporting and handling hay, straw, feed, fertiliser and other materials around the farm Performing general farm maintenance tasks, including fencing, yard work, water systems and infrastructure repairs Adhering to and promoting best practices in biosecurity, animal welfare and workplace health and safety Skills, Qualifications and Experience To be considered for the role, applicants must meet one of the following: Hold an AQF Certificate II or equivalent and have at least 1.5 years (20 hours/week)



of relevant post-qualification experience; OR Hold an AQF Certificate III or higher and have at least 1 year (20 hours/week) of relevant post-qualification experience; OR

Have at least 1 year of full time (38 hours/week) relevant experience in broadacre and livestock farm work Essential Requirements Demonstrated experience in both broadacre crop production and livestock handling Practical knowledge of seeding, spraying, harvesting and livestock feeding systems Competence in operating and maintaining farm machinery and mechanical equipment Familiarity with safe work practices, WHS requirements and biosecurity protocols Ability to work independently and as part of a small team Good communication skills and willingness to assist with supervision A current driver's licence is required; machinery or forklift tickets are desirable What's on Offer Permanent, full-time employment with our client's family-owned and well-established farming business Competitive salary: $77,000 - $80,000 AUD per annum, based on skills and experience Opportunity to work across broadacre cropping and livestock operations Exposure to modern farming machinery and practices
