SENIOR CAMHS CLINICIAN – REGIONAL WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Salary: From $85.00 per hour + Superannuation + Living Away From Home Allowance assistance
Location: Regional Western Australia
Contract: Initial 12-week contract, with potential to extend

We are seeking experienced Senior CAMHS Clinicians to join a agile and supportive multidisciplinary team providing specialist mental health services to children, adolescents and their families across regional Western Australia. In this rewarding role, you will provide high-level clinical assessment, triage and intervention to young people aged 0–17 years experiencing acute psychiatric distress, self-harm, suicidal ideation and other complex mental health concerns. You will play an important role in delivering timely, person-centred care and supporting positive outcomes for young people and their families.
As a Senior CAMHS Clinician, you will:
- Undertake comprehensive mental health and risk assessments, including clinical triage
- Provide timely crisis intervention and evidence-based therapeutic support
- Develop, implement and review individualised care plans
- Coordinate referrals and care across community and health services
- Work collaboratively with children, young people,
families, schools and other healthcare professionals
- Provide clinical consultation, advocacy and professional support
- Contribute to service development, mental health education and community initiatives
- Support early intervention and promote continuity of care across the region
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality clinical outcomes
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA To be successful in this role, you will have:
- AHPRA registration or eligibility for AASW membership/registration
- Advanced clinical experience within Child and Adolescent Mental Health
- Demonstrated experience in mental health assessment, triage and crisis intervention
- Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014 and community-based support services
- Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to work confidently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- A current Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Full working rights in Australia
