We are seeking a Senior Customer and Accounts Officer to undertake and coordinate the day to day delivery of our Accounts Receivable function and provide support across our Customer Service and Accounts teams. You will bring technical expertise along with excellent communication skills and ability to coach and support others.

Our new site will bring together all Council operations under one roof, creating a dynamic, collaborative, and future-focused workplace. Located on a spacious 71-hectare site, the facility has been designed with staff wellbeing, sustainability, and operational excellence in mind. Rous has an operational footprint covering 3,000km2. As a county council, we are responsible for providing three specific functions; bulk water supply, weed biosecurity and flood mitigation.

Your value proposition to us:

- Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable
- Demonstrated experience in credit management, negotiating payment arrangements and debt recovery
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile subsidiary ledgers and prepare financial reports
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and support the ongoing development of skills and capability within a team
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy, timeliness and customer service
- Experience using financial systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Your average workday will be kept busy by:

- Undertake and coordinate the day-to-day delivery of Council's Accounts Receivable function




- Promote the consistent application of Accounts Receivable practices and identify opportunities to improve systems and processes
- Respond to customer enquiries relating to Accounts Receivable, water billing and customer accounts by providing accurate advice, investigating complex matters and preparing written correspondence
- Provide operational support to the Customer Service and Accounts Manager by assisting with coordination of day-to-day activities, supporting capability across the team and acting as a key technical resource within the Customer Service and Accounts function
- Provide analysis and recommendations to operational, financial and management reports relating to the Accounts Receivable function
