About The Opportunity
n
The primary purpose of this position is to support the CAM Production Manager while driving technical excellence, continuous improvement, and advanced manufacturing capability across the CAD/CAM department.
n
Some of your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Producing advanced CAD models using Rhinoceros (Rhino)
n
- Preparing files, support structures, and sprue strategies for additive manufacturing
n
- Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced 3D printing equipment
n
- Optimising print quality, workflow efficiency, and consumable usage
n
- Performing quality control across digital manufacturing processes
n
- Communicating directly with internal customers regarding production requirements
n
- Applying structured problem-solving methodologies including Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, and FMEA
n
- Supporting KPI reporting, production analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Assisting with workflow optimisation across the print and casting pipeline
n
- Mentoring team members and sharing technical knowledge throughout the department
n
n
About You
n
The successful candidate will have:
n
n
- Extensive experience within CAD/CAM and additive manufacturing
n
- Advanced proficiency using Rhinoceros (Rhino)
n
- Experience within jewellery, rapid prototyping, or precision manufacturing
n
- Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
n
- Experience optimising manufacturing quality, efficiency, and throughput
n
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
n
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
n
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively
n
n
Highly regarded:
n
n
- Grasshopper, parametric modelling, or Python scripting
n
- AI and automation applied to manufacturing workflows
n
- Investment casting optimisation and defect reduction
n
- Product development and Design for Manufacture (DFM)
n
- 3D scanning and reverse engineering
n
- CNC machining, rendering, or technical visualisation experience
n
