Technical Business Analyst Web & Mobile Applications

A leading Australian software company based in North Sydney is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a high performing delivery team on an initial 6 Month contract with strong extension potential.

This is an excellent prospect to work across the delivery of web and mobile applications, partnering with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.

As the Technical Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in analysing, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional and technical solutions. You will work closely with business SMEs, Product Owners, developers, architects, and QA teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

On a day to day basis you will:

- Elicit, analyse and document detailed business, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Work closely with business SMEs to understand current processes, pain points and future business needs.
- Produce high-quality business and technical documentation, including process flows, functional specifications, user journeys and data mappings.
- Gather and document requirements for web and mobile application enhancements and newly product features.
- Develop detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation.
- Facilitate workshops,



discovery sessions and backlog refinement meetings.
- Analyse existing systems, APIs, integrations and data flows to identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage and refine the product backlog in collaboration with Product Owners using Agile methodologies.
- Liaise with developers, architects and testers to ensure requirements are clearly understood and successfully delivered.
- Support testing activities, defect triage and requirements traceability through to production.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Extensive experience as a Technical Business Analyst delivering software applications.
- Strong experience working on web and mobile application projects.
- Proven ability to work closely with business SMEs, technical teams and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent requirements gathering, documentation and process mapping skills.
- Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and maintaining product backlogs.
- Solid Agile delivery experience within Scrum or Kanban environments.
- Experience working across APIs, system integrations, data flows and technical interfaces.
- Working knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL environments.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence and Microsoft 365.
- Excellent communication, workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
