About the Role

n

We are seeking an experienced and qualified High Risk Work Trainer & Assessor to deliver and assess High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) training across Queensland. The successful applicant will deliver high-quality theory and practical training, assess learner competency, and ensure all training activities meet regulatory, industry and workplace safety requirements.

- Order Picking Forklift (LO)

- Dogging (DG)
n
- Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Rigging (RB, RI, RA)
n
- Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Scaffolding (SB, SI, SA)
n
- Slewing Mobile Crane (C2, C6, C1)
n
- Non-Slewing Crane (CN)
n
- Vehicle Loading Crane (CV)
n
- Elevated Work Platform (WP)
n
- Other relevant high-risk work licence classes
n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Deliver engaging classroom, practical and workplace-based high-risk training.
n
- Conduct competency-based assessments in accordance with approved assessment tools.
n
- Prepare learners for High Risk Work Licence assessments.
n
- Provide clear instruction on safe operating procedures and workplace practices.
n
- Maintain accurate training records, assessment documentation and learner evidence.
n
- Ensure compliance with RTO Standards, training package requirements and Workplace Health and Safety Queensland requirements.
n
- Maintain training equipment and ensure a safe learning environment.
n
- Participate in assessment validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities.
n
- Provide professional support and guidance to learners from diverse backgrounds.
n




- Travel to client sites and regional locations where required.
n

Essential Selection Criteria

n

n
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent, or a qualification meeting current VET trainer requirements).
n
- Current High Risk Work Licence(s) relevant to the training areas delivered.
n
- Current industry experience operating high-risk equipment.
n
- Demonstrated experience delivering vocational training and competency-based assessment.
n
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and safe operating practices.
n
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
n
- Current Driver's Licence.
n
- Ability to work independently and manage training activities effectively.
n

Desirable

n

n
- Current Workplace Health and Safety Queensland High Risk Work Licence Assessor accreditation.
n
- Experience working in mining, construction, civil, logistics or resources industries.
n
- Current White Card (Construction Induction).
n
- Working at Heights and Confined Space qualifications.
n
- First Aid and CPR certification.
n
- Experience delivering training in regional and remote Queensland locations.
n
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
n
