We want a mechanical plumber to come in and help grow the air con side of our business. That means doing the work, yes. It also means helping bring our younger blokes along, having a say in how we quote, prepare and run these jobs, and building something you can be proud of.

The bit that makes this job different

On most air con jobs you install the unit and then wait. Wait on the sparky, wait on the builder, go back a second time to finish it off.

Not here. We are an electrical, data and air con business out of the one workshop. The electrician is in the next van, on the same job, that same day. You do your side, he does his, the job gets finished and you move on. No chasing another contractor, no half done jobs sitting there for a week.

What you would actually be doing

All residential. Across the south-east and east. Croydon, Box Hill, Camberwell, Burwood, Ringwood, Doncaster, Ferntree Gully , just to name a few.

- Single head and multi head split system installs

- Ducted installs in recent homes and renovations

- Refrigerant pipework, brazing, pressure test, evacuation, charge and commissioning

- Condensate drains and penetrations

- Service, breakdowns, fault finding and repairs

- Air con on new home builds and high end renovations for our builder clients, some of them six figure jobs

No high rise, no plant rooms, no chillers, no night shift. Homes, every day, home for tea.

Bringing the team along

We have got sparkies who are keen to learn the air con side coming through. You would be the bloke who shows them.

You do not need to have done it before. You just need to be the sort who does not mind a younger fella watching over your shoulder and asking questions. If that sounds like your idea of hell, this is not your job.



If you have ever thought "I could run this better than the mob I am at", it might be.

- Somewhere to go.We are growing the air con side and we want someone to own it, not just fill a van. If you want to run a crew down the track, that door is open. Tell us what you are after and we will be straight with you about it.

- We do it properly.Master Electricians member. Itemised quoting off real costs, workmanship guaranteed, and we do not cut corners to win a job.

What we need from you

Non negotiable. You must hold one of these:

- Mechanical plumbing, restricted to single head split systems, or

- Air conditioning and refrigeration, restricted to basic systems

Also required:

- Current Victorian drivers licence

- White card

- You can install a split without hand holding

- You are happy to have an apprentice or a sparky working alongside you and learning off you

- You can talk to a customer in their home without upsetting them

We are not fussed about years. If you have just got your ticket and you are keen, come and have a chat. If you have been doing this fifteen years and you want to lead it, come and have a chat. The band covers both.

Big tick if you have:

- Ducted and multi head experience

- An electrical licence as well. Dual ticketed is gold to us and we pay for it.

- Fault finding and service work, not just installs

- Experience running an apprentice
