About the role

We are seeking a Senior Front of House Host/Hostess to join the team in ONE7EIGHT fine dining restaurant and cocktail bar on a casual basis from Tuesday to Saturday 5.30 pm to 9.30/10 pm. This is a key position on our front of house team, where you will be the first point of contact for our members and guests. As a Senior Front of House Host, you will set the tone for their visit, ensuring they feel welcomed, valued and looked after from the moment they arrive. You will be responsible for managing the flow of guests, coordinating seating arrangements, and supporting our staff to deliver an outstanding hospitality experience.

This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of service our club is known for.

Key responsibilities include:

- Greeting and welcoming all members and guests with warmth and professionalism
- Managing guest arrivals, departures and seating arrangements in a timely and organised manner
- Taking restaurant reservations and maintaining accurate booking records
- Coordinating with waiting staff and kitchen to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
- Managing queue times and guest expectations during peak periods
- Handling guest enquiries and resolving any service issues promptly and courteously
- Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming front of house environment
- Assisting with training and mentoring junior front of house staff as required
- Supporting the wider team to deliver consistent, high-quality hospitality experiences




- Assist with preparation of Cocktails when required

What we're looking for:

- Must be available to work Tuesday to Saturday Nights from 5.00 pm to 9.30/10 pm
- Proven experience in a front of house or host role, preferably within a hospitality venue, restaurant or club environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests from all backgrounds
- Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- A professional appearance with an outgoing personality
- Ability to remain calm and composed during busy periods and handle challenging situations with grace
- A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating positive guest experiences
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) is essential
